ACACIA UK are looking for a highly motivated and experienced charity retail manager, who is looking for a new challenge in their retail career, to become our new part-time Shops Coordinator (20 hours per week). ACACIA UK is a small but dynamic charity which works to lift barriers to education for girls and boys in Kenya and Uganda, to enable them to reach their full potential. ACACIA UK’s three charity shops (in Abingdon, Faringdon and Grove) are key income streams for this work. The charity is seeking to develop the potential of their current shops and grow their offer in the charity retail market. The Shops Coordinator will be responsible for strategic and day-to-day management, support and development of existing ACACIA UK shops, including managing and supporting Shop Managers to deliver sales targets and profitability, while ensuring compliance with all ACACIA UK policies and procedures and relevant Health and Safety legislation. The Shops Coordinator will maintain awareness of the charity retail sector and current retail trends and performance, whilst looking for opportunities to expand income stream in the charity retail market. The Shops Coordinator’s time is split between visits to shops and office-based work in ACACIA UK’s Abingdon office.
